3. Proprietary license — not open source
Copyright © 2026 Infinitum Imagery LLC. All rights reserved. The Software is proprietary commercial software. It is not licensed under the MIT License, Apache, GPL, BSD, or any other open-source license. Official public release pages distribute installers and manifests only — they do not publish source code and do not imply an open-source grant.
Subject to these Terms and any plan you purchase, Infinitum grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, up to the device seat limits of your plan (Free and paid tiers as published on the pricing page and in the app).
Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, you may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the Software
- Redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or rebrand installers, binaries, or branding
- Remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the Software to build a competing product by copying its protected expression
- Claim the Software is open source or that you own Infinitum trademarks or trade dress

4. What the Software may do
Infinitum is a system health and optimization utility. Supported desktop platforms currently include Windows 10/11 and macOS 15 (Sequoia) or newer. Feature availability varies by operating system; deep Windows tools (for example Drivers, winget, certain Repair helpers) are Windows-only.
With your confirmation where required, the Software may:
- Scan local files and folders and read system inventory (CPU, memory, storage, drivers, apps, startup items, processes)
- Clean temporary or cache files (often to the Recycle Bin / Trash), duplicates, stubborn files, cloud-sync local caches, and leftovers you approve
- Change Safe OS preferences you approve (power plans, Game Mode, background apps, download soft-caps, and similar)
- Diagnose networking, flush DNS, and, if you confirm, reset adapters or related network settings
- End processes you select (protected system processes remain blocked)
- Launch elevated repair or diagnostic tools after a platform elevation prompt (UAC on Windows; equivalent prompts on macOS)
- Run One-click Maintenance as an ordered set of Safe checks and cleanups only
- Check for Infinitum updates via official release metadata
Results vary by device, drivers, OEM firmware, OS version, and other software. Recommendations are informational guidance, not guarantees of performance, power savings, stability, security, or compatibility.
5. Safe, Review, Advanced, and Experimental actions
The product distinguishes Safe actions from Review, Advanced, and Experimental actions. Read on-screen confirmations before continuing. You are solely responsible for actions you approve. BIOS/UEFI flashing and unsupported overclocking or undervolting are outside normal Safe operation; if offered at all, they require separate Experimental acceptance.
6. Your responsibilities
- Back up important data before cleanup, uninstall, repair, Hardware Tuner, Stubborn Files, One-click Maintenance, or any Advanced / Experimental change.
- Read confirmations for Review and Advanced actions before continuing.
- Keep your account credentials secure and use only genuine installers from Infinitum’s official download page or official public Releases repository.
- Comply with applicable law and these Terms, including Privacy Shield rules if you use that add-on.
7. Accounts
Core Free local tools may work without an account. Creating an Infinitum account stores the name, email, and phone you provide for authentication, licensing, billing support, and security notices, using Firebase Authentication and related Infinitum cloud services. You must provide accurate information and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy at registration.
8. Plans, payments, and refunds
Paid plans (including Pro, Family, Lifetime, Remove Ads, and Privacy Shield tiers) are sold as described on the pricing page and in Settings → Plans. Prices are shown before you pay. Desktop web checkout is processed by Stripe; card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by Infinitum as full card numbers. Mobile store purchases, when offered, are processed by Apple or Google under their store terms.
- Subscriptions renew until you cancel through Stripe Customer Portal (desktop) or the applicable app store.
- Lifetime and one-time purchases are non-recurring unless otherwise stated at checkout.
- Device seat limits apply as published for each plan.
- Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, fees are non-refundable after successful delivery of digital access.
- Privacy Shield cloud features remain separate from core Pro/Family entitlements unless a specific offer says otherwise.
9. Privacy Shield (optional add-on)
Privacy Shield helps you find and request removal of your own personal information from certain people-search and data-broker sites. You must only create identity profiles and run scans for yourself or for a person you are legally authorized to represent. Misuse to harass, stalk, or investigate others without authorization is prohibited.
- Matches are probabilistic; name-only hits are never treated as confirmed. Review results before requesting removal.
- Whitelist rules you set block automatic removal attempts for those entries.
- Cloud-assisted scan, AI, or removal features send only what those features need to Infinitum backend services and providers we use.
- Automated removal (Privacy Shield Auto), where offered, never bypasses CAPTCHA or security checks and may stop for user action.
- Removal outcomes depend on third-party sites and are not guaranteed. Infinitum is not liable for incomplete removals, reappearances, or third-party site conduct.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Software to harm systems you are not authorized to manage
- Interfere with Infinitum services, billing, update channels, or other users’ accounts
- Circumvent license, seat, or entitlement checks
- Use Privacy Shield against people you are not authorized to represent
- Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to Infinitum infrastructure
11. Updates
Infinitum may provide updates, patches, and new versions. Optional update checks may contact official GitHub Releases (or successor channels) for signed installer metadata. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the then-current Terms if you have accepted the corresponding in-app Terms version.
12. Third-party services and components
The Software and site may rely on third parties such as Firebase (Google), Stripe, GitHub, Cloudflare measurement endpoints, public IP lookup services used only when you run Diagnose, and AI or search providers for Privacy Shield cloud features. Those services have their own terms. Separately licensed open-source libraries remain under their own licenses and do not relicense Infinitum’s proprietary code, branding, or documentation.
13. Intellectual property and trademarks
“Infinitum,” “Infinitum System Optimizer,” “Infinitum Optimizer,” “Privacy Shield” as used with this product, and related marks, logos, and trade dress are used by Infinitum Imagery LLC. No trademark license is granted except as needed to identify the genuine product. Feedback you submit may be used by Infinitum to improve products without obligation to you.
14. Not an antivirus; no professional advice
The Software does not claim to detect or remove malware and does not replace Windows Security, macOS security features, or professional IT, legal, or medical advice. Security and privacy scores and recommendations are informational.
15. AS IS — disclaimer of warranties
THE SOFTWARE AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOU USE THE SOFTWARE AT YOUR SOLE RISK. Infinitum does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or configuration.
16. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Infinitum Imagery LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, and partners are not liable for data loss, downtime, hardware damage, thermal events, warranty impact, security incidents, business interruption, lost profits, or consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising from use or misuse of the Software — including actions you approve after warnings. Infinitum’s total liability for any claim relating to the Software or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid Infinitum for the Software in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) USD $50, if you use only Free features.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Infinitum Imagery LLC against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Software, your violation of these Terms, or your unauthorized use of Privacy Shield against third parties.
18. Termination
You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it and canceling paid subscriptions. Infinitum may suspend or terminate access to accounts or paid features for violation of these Terms, non-payment, fraud, or risk to the service. Sections that by nature should survive (including license restrictions, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) survive termination.
19. Export and sanctions
You may not use or export the Software in violation of U.S. export control or sanctions laws. You represent that you are not prohibited from receiving the Software under applicable law.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Pennsylvania have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising from these Terms, except where mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
21. Changes to these Terms
When Terms change, the in-app acceptance version is bumped and you may be asked to accept again before continuing. The current Terms version is shown in the app under Settings → Legal and at the top of this page. Material changes apply prospectively after acceptance or continued use as allowed by law.
22. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, in-app disclosures you accept, and any plan-specific checkout terms form the entire agreement between you and Infinitum regarding the Software and supersede prior conflicting understandings on that subject.
